Information we collect
When you use ClipRelay, we may collect video links you submit, optional titles, link preferences and activity needed to operate the service. If you apply for API access, we collect your submitted Discord IDs, application details and request information. When you report a video, we collect the reason and any details you provide.
We also process basic technical information, such as request logs, IP-related security identifiers and a browser visitor identifier, to keep the site secure and prevent spam or misuse. Please do not submit passwords, private keys or other sensitive information in public forms.
How we use information
We use information to create and manage links, provide requested features, review API applications, respond to reports, improve reliability and protect against abuse. Depending on the activity, the applicable legal basis may be providing a requested service, our legitimate interests in operating a secure website, or complying with legal obligations.
Sharing and external services
We use trusted service providers for website operations, data storage, security and support. Information may be shared with these providers only as needed to operate ClipRelay, investigate misuse or comply with the law. Public links and their associated titles or video details may be visible to other visitors according to the visibility you choose.
Opening embedded videos or external community links may connect you directly to those services, which have their own privacy practices. Some information may be processed outside the UK subject to applicable safeguards.
Storage and retention
Temporary links expire according to the selected lifetime. Some records, including API requests, usage information, moderation reports, security logs and backups, may be retained longer where reasonably necessary for service operation, safety or legal reasons. Expiring a ClipRelay link does not remove the original video from its source platform or copies shared elsewhere.
Cookies
We use essential browser identifiers for features and abuse prevention, including a signed visitor cookie that can last up to 30 days. Read our Cookie policy for more information. Any future optional tracking will be subject to applicable notice and consent requirements.
Your privacy rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access to your personal information, correction, deletion or other privacy rights. Use the private contact route on our Support page. We may need to verify your request before sharing or changing account-related information. UK users may also contact the Information Commissioner's Office.
Updates
We may update this policy when our features or practices change. The latest update date appears at the top of this page.
